Mission
TO ADDRESS ISSUES THAT KEEP PEOPLE IN POVERTY BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE, FINANCIAL SERVICES AND EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT , COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT. To work with the urban poor to bring about long-term and sustainable transformation to their quality of life.
Vision
Through a practical expression of the values of faith, hope and love, Asha aim to provide holistic community-based healthcare, empowerment, financial inclusion, education and environmental improvements by training, resourcing and encouraging slum communities to receive and enjoy their basic human rights. Asha also aims to influence the lives of its international audience by sharing local practice, experience and vision and facilitating partnerships where awareness and association between different cultures can impact and change individuals globally.
Goals
- 1.Asha's aims towards holistic transformation of slum community residents across 100 slums covering million population through comprehensive programme in Healthcare, Empowerment, Education, Financial Inclusion and Community Infrastructure Development and also focus on expanding the Reach, Scale, Access and Innovation. New Programmes based on community needs and aspirations are developed.
- 2.New programmes based on Community needs and aspirations are developed and Innovative Programmatic Models are incorporated. For example, Asha's three tier healthcare model has been further strengthened by addition of Physiotherapy and Dental clinic. Mobile Healthcare has been launched to cover new, underserved areas. Higher Education programme has been strengthened by Private Universities
- 3.Asha aims to expand, grow, expand, scale and increase access to existing programme and services through new thematic programmes and Innovation. For example, launch of Early Child hood Nutrition programme has been launched in Asha communities to address a critical healthcare needs. Mobile Health Van has been launched to expand the scope of Asha's services to new slums. Launch of Asha Youth Groups.
