Mission

Since 2002, over 425 horses have been rescued. Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preventing equine abuse. Our paddocks provide safe refuge for abused, neglected, starved, and slaughter-bound horses. Additionally, we offer educational opportunities to the public on topics such as horsemanship, horse care, and safety. Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue Inc. also collaborates with Animal Control offices to assist in the seizure of equines when necessary.
