Mission
Motivated by the inherent worth of each individual and our great care for the people of Haiti, the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation works side by side with the people of Saint Rock and the surrounding rural communities to enhance their lives through: Providing quality primary health care Helping children and young adults access valuable educational opportunities Instituting community outreach programs that support economic sustainability Investing in infrastructure to support overall health Empowering members of the community to advocate for their rights in the future We recognize that through our ongoing collaboration with the Haitian government and non-governmental organizations, we will support the shared goal of greater self-sufficiency.
Vision
The vision of the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation is a community in which each person can thrive in all aspects of life and create similar opportunities for other Haitians to thrive.
Goals
- 1.Provide high quality health care that addresses the needs of the community. Major focus is maternal/child health and reducing mortality by developing a accompaniment program of matrons (local midwives) and construction of a Maternal Waiting Home. We are part of the the Clinton Global Initiative expanding maternal health care in rural Haiti and partnered with local hospitals for specialized care.
- 2.Provide equitable and high-quality educational opportunities from primary through tertiary levels to all young people in the community. Enhance equitable access and the quality of education by strengthening schools through teacher training, leadership development for school directors, and collaborative partnerships that foster a connected network of inclusive, child-friendly schools.
- 3.Support organizational mission through strong governance, operation, and staffing infrastructure and enhance development and fundraising systems to advance the mission of the organization. In 2024, we implemented MEAL to continually assess programs and their effectiveness. Through this we have also instituted professional development to build the capacity of our Haitian staff.
