Mission

Jewish Book Council’s mission is to promote the reading, writing, and publishing of Jewish literature. Through literature, JBC aims to educate, enrich, and strengthen connections to Jewish life, identity, and community.

Vision

Goals

1.To expand our audience to reflect different segments of the community that may not otherwise be aware of our work and to serve a wider spectrum of authors to ensure they are finding their audience.
2.Create more engagement opportunities for author-to-author experiences, and build an even more inclusive community for them to participate in. Engaging further with our readership, and creating programs tailored to their needs.
3.Invest in infrastructure to support continued growth, including ensuring we have the necessary financial resources and a leadership pipeline to continue to adapt to changing trends and environments. This also includes investing more seriously in marketing efforts.
