AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB COMPANION ANIMAL RECOVERY (AKC CAR)'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE IDENTIFICATION OF PETS AND REUNITE LOST PETS WITH THEIR OWNERS. AKC CAR ALSO SUPPORTS ANIMAL RELIEF AND RECOVERY EFFORTS DURING NATURAL OR CIVIL DISASTERS, INCLUDING PROVIDING GRANTS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE EFFORTS.
