Mission

Think!Chinatown is an intergenerational non-profit working from within Manhattan’s Chinatown. Our mission is to foster community through neighborhood engagement, storytelling & the arts. Think!Chinatown is here to engage, to respond, and to build Chinatown's capacities as a strong & vibrant immigrant neighborhood of NYC. Working from within the neighborhood, we produce storytelling projects with our neighbors, organize Chinatown night markets, host cultural festivals & exhibitions, build outdoor dining spaces for restaurants in need, create murals & installations in collaboration with artists & volunteers, empower our neighborhood's multilingual arts groups to apply for city funding to continue cultural traditions, plan for sustainable neighborhood strengthening. . . and so much more. It’s hard to categorize our work sometimes, but whatever we’re working on… it’s to support what we love about Chinatown with our neighbors!
