Vision

Capital Sisters is committed to a world where impoverished women have access to credit for income generating activities, that allow them to provide for their families and live with dignity. Despite the success of the microfinance industry over the past three decades, and extremely high loan repayment rates by women worldwide, the microfinance industry remains significantly underfunded. Accordingly, we aspire to help bridge the gap in demand from women who need micro loans, so they can improve their family's lives.

Goals

1. 1.To expand operations with a new microfinance partner in a third country where we have prior experience, while maintaining strict business practices and results from our existing field partners.
2. 2.Launch a 5-Year National Expansion Plan to sell $5 million in bonds to finance $20 million in micro loans (4-yr terms). This $20 million will fund 200,000 loans, improving life for 1 million people.
3. 3.Expand our advocacy with Donor Advised Funds and Women’s Foundations to increase gender-lens investments (GLI), following our success with the Colorado Women's Foundation (100% of $30M endowment).
