THE GREATER NEWARK ENTERPRISES CORPORATION (GNEC) supports micro and small businesses from underserved and underbanked communities in NJ through low-interest loan programs and a variety of business assistance programs designed to help entrepreneurs sustain and grow their businesses.

Goals

1.Expand the BackStop technical assistance program to 5 tracks from the current 2 tracks
2.Expand the organization's territorial reach to offer all programs throughout New Jersey. Currently GNEC offers its services in Northern NJ>
3.Expand its funding base to be able to offer larger loans at a greater volume to more underserved communities.
