Vision

Working Dogs for Conservation strives to maximize the impacts dogs have for conservation. Pioneering new and innovative canine techniques, and combining dogs with other cutting edge technologies like artificial intelligence and laboratory methods, we make conservation more efficient, effective, and extend its reach. We are building a future where innovation and collaboration merge, enhanced by the remarkable abilities of working conservation dogs, to drive positive and break-through impacts in biosecurity, ecological monitoring, wildlife protection, and environmental justice.

Goals

1. 1.ENDING WILDLIFE CRIME We train dogs and handlers in key areas of concern to help interrupt and stop wildlife trafficking and poaching.
2. 2.BIOSECURITY Our dogs curb and combat invasive species and diseases, and we are able to create innovative biosecurity strategies to prevent these species from affecting wildlife and wild places. And ECOLOGICAL MONITORING We help find and monitor some of the most endangered, rare, elusive, and conservation-dependent species all over the world.
3. 3.ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE We want conservation to benefit everyone. Since 2020, our Environmental Justice program has partnered with historically underserved communities to protect the wildlife and wild places on which they depend, and through our Native Intern Program, you’ve helped build the next generation of conservation leaders.
