    THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT THE FDNY COMMUNITY IN A DIFFERENT WAY BY MAKING A DONATION TO THE FDNY FIRE FAMILY TRANSPORT FOUNDATION LTD., WHICH PROVIDES SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT TO SICK AND INJURED MEMBERS OF THE FDNY FAMILY. SINCE 1993 THE FOUNDATION HAS PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE VISITED LOVED ONES IN HOSPITALS, SHUTTLED THEM TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND ATTENDED THEIR FUNERALS.
