    With roots dating back to 1985, Hands Together is devoted to educating, inspiring and encouraging people to understand and respond to the needs of people, especially the poor and disadvantaged. Hands Together carries out its mission through programs designed to bring dignity to the poor--primarily in Haiti. By establishing schools, orphanages, nutrition and feeding programs, medical clinics, sustainable-development projects, and by establishing partnerships with local leaders and communities, Hands Together is building a better world for thousands of suffering people in Haiti. Hands Together volunteers bring needed skills to many of our educational, health and sustainable-development projects.

    The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
    Goal One: Continue to create new, and update our existing schools which provide free tuition, and a free warm meal to thousands of students every day. Keep it as the only free school in Port-au-Prince
    Goal Two: Work with the local Haitians side by side, learning from them as they learn from us. We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise.
    Goal Three: Provide humane services including water, food, agriculture, and health services to thousands of Haitians every day.

    Our staff is over 95% Haitian, we continue to grow and learn beside our partners to tackle and overcome problems.     Hands Together collaborates with other organizations whose mission closely mirrors our own.     The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
    Due to the Coronavirus Hands Together has: *created a weekly Zoom Mass and update session every week, that we still continue to run today. *Created virtual Mission appeal videos to send to parishes *Switched a lot of our fundraising over to online and social media *continued to operate in Haiti even with our schools being shut down, allowing us to continue providing people with food, clean water, jobs, and medical supplies
