    Animal House Project

    Mission

    Animal House Project mission is primarily focused on keeping companion pets at home with the families who love them by providing donated pet food and pet care services (low cost spay/neuter and vaccinations). But we found that even the smaller grass root 501 c3 rescues are fighting battles in obtaining food after having to pay their high veterinary bills, so in 2016 we created a Rescue Pet Food Pantry using food that could not be donated to the companion pets. And, finally in 2021, post covid, we realized that even after trying as hard as we could to keep at least the large breed dogs with families, we found they were still being surrendered to high kill shelters, so we created a program to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome those pups to give them a fighting second chance.
