Mission

Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement Society is a no kill, nonprofit animal rescue that strives to prevent the euthanasia of dogs and cats in shelters throughout the region by providing them a temporary safe haven until a permanent loving home can be found.

1.YAPS will grow by expanding monthly free vaccine clinics, increasing distribution of spay/neuter vouchers to reduce pet overpopulation, and enhancing our pet food/supply pantry for families in crisis, broadening access to essential care, and keeping more pets healthy, safe, and in loving homes.
2.YAPS launched a new program offering emergency medical assistance and temporary pet boarding for low-income families and veterans. Funded through grant support, this program addresses rising community needs by ensuring pets receive urgent care and safe housing while guardians stabilize.
