RAISES FUNDS FOR AND MAKES GRANTS TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF SCOTLAND AND THE NATIONAL GALLERIES OF SCOTLAND IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THE PAST FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS; TO RECORD AND PRESERVE SCOTTISH CULTURE, HISTORY, KNOWLEDGE AND IDEAS; AND TO MAKE ITS ACCUMULATED HISTORY AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO BOTH THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND AND OTHERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
