TO TRANSFORM THE JUSTICE SYSTEM BY PROMOTING RESPONSES TO VIOLENCE THAT BREAK CYCLES OF TRAUMA.

EJUSA seeks to reimagine justice. For us that means rejecting the traditional definition of justice

1.Strengthen the capacity of state/local death penalty abolition and community-based violence intervention and prevention organizations and leaders to end state violence and promote healing and repair.
2.Shift current narratives around justice towards narratives that redefine justice and safety by centering the voices of survivors and communities directly impacted by historical trauma and violence.
3.Create off-ramps from punishment-based systems and advance community-led responses that reduce violence and harm and promote healing and repair.
