Mission

We believe that access to food is a basic human right. However, many families and individuals, especially those from low-income backgrounds, struggle to put food on the table. To put it into perspective, one in every nine families faces hunger, while one in every eight children is unable to meet their food needs. Most of these families are living on the bare minimum and feel like fortune is a far-fetched dream that is almost impossible to achieve. At Islip Food for Hope, we work to provide solutions to the growing problem of hunger. For more than 40 years, we have been advocating for the needs of our neighbors and friends, providing them with essentials to help them cope with their daily lives. Our goal is to ensure that no individual or family goes hungry while on the road to becoming self-sufficient.
