Vision

We know that each cake we serve is more than just a cake, these baked treats are a chance to smile and celebrate. Memories have magical powers. Long after the cake is gone, the memories linger – memories of the kindness of a stranger, of the art of the design, of the sweet smells of a special treat, of the smiles and laughs, of a normal childhood experience so often stolen from these children. These memories are why we say, “It is so much more than a cake.”

Goals

1. 1.Our team is actively working to bring awareness to our cake program, working to ensure any child who qualifies for a cake receives one. We have the reach of bakers around the country ready to serve, now we are working to expand our program and partnerships to ensure all medical families are aware of us and can apply to get a cake.
2. 2.We recently implemented a new database to reduce manpower and create ease of pairing bakers with local families. We also recently launched a new website. Our goal is to lean into the new implementations to ensure a seamless process for families applying for a cake and for bakers coordinating and filling the request.
3. 3.We have developed and are continuing to form and grow our Local Outreach Ambassadors team. We have recruited over 80 volunteers around the country and are actively recruiting more to be our boots on the ground volunteers bringing awareness to their local communities and ensuring the populations we serve are aware of our program. Our LOAs are partnering with hospitals and organizations.
