Vision

We envision a community in which all children thrive. OpenDoors closes race-based opportunity gaps by providing intensive academic and wrap-around support for under-resourced students and families in Western NC, where gaps are widest in the state and some of the worst in our nation.

Goals

1. 1.Support students by strengthening their academics and accessing interests outside of the classroom so they can become active and empowered adults and, one day, invest back in their communities.
2. 2.Advocate and make connections with parents so that they feel more resourced and can provide their children opportunities to prosper.
3. 3.Build relationships and connections between individuals, families, neighborhoods, organizations, and local businesses. Equity and inclusion are the center of our work.
