Vision

Improve emotional well-being for children who have experienced trauma. Our work is grounded in the belief that when a child can imagine a different future, they are more likely to move toward it—and begin to heal.

Goals

1. 1.Expand Access: Bookwallah currently serves over 1,200 children annually across 16 locations in India, reaching children living in institutional care and other vulnerable environments. By 2030, we aim to reach at least 10,000 children per year by expanding to 100+ active locations. Progress will be measured by the number of children served, active locations, and consistency of participation.
2. 2.Ensure Consistent Engagement and Improve Measurable Emotional Outcomes: We currently deliver 70–80 structured story sessions per month, with over 60% of children demonstrating improved Hope Scores after 30 sessions. We aim to deliver 500+ sessions monthly while maintaining at least 85% consistency across all locations and to continue strengthening these outcomes.
3. 3.Strengthen Capacity: To sustainably expand our impact, Bookwallah will invest in organizational capacity across fundraising, governance, and technology. By 2030, we aim to build a resilient financial base, develop leadership and staff capabilities, and implement stronger systems to support 100+ locations.
