When women thrive, societies thrive. The Global Midwife Education Foundation facilitates the co-creation of sustainable solutions that transform Indigenous women’s health in rural communities through life-saving access to reproductive healthcare, family planning, and health education.

Goals

1. 1.GMEF will leverage its community-driven approach to continue as well as scale its programs, reaching more underserved regions in Bolivia and extending to Chile, Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador where we have extensive connections with hospitals working on maternity care quality improvement initiatives; founding growth on community engagement, evidence-based programs, and existing partnerships.
2. 2.Communities have reached out asking for community health worker training programs in their areas. We are working with communities and government ministries to organize and launch these programs.
3. 3.We are expanding our ability to scale programs by hiring local staff to manage training programs and extend the reach of the organization and improve the quality of maternity care training for local healthcare staff.
