Vision

Strengthening the internal structure of women's artisan groups is a significant contribution to their growth and success.

Goals

1. 1.Providing a marketplace for women's artisanal goods is our most effective tool for elevating women out of poverty and into a position of sovereignty over their lives. Ibu collaborates with groups to design unique products, celebrating heritage and sustainable techniques of each culture and cooperative—making up about half of our offerings.
2. 2.As we scale, the marketplace acts as a multiplier: mothers invest in education and healthcare; children stay in school longer and dream bigger; women make their voices heard and participate in household decision-making; cultural heritage is preserved and celebrated; communities become more stable and resilient; and economies grow. Everyone rises.
3. 3.Advocate for global women artisans’ economic sovereignty, cultural heritage preservation, and fair-trade equity — raising awareness about the value of handcrafted artistry, influencing consumer and industry practices, and supporting systems and policies that ensure women artisans have access to living-wage markets, dignified work, and sustainable livelihoods.
