Mission

The mission of Access Books is to provide high interest reading material to underserved children by providing low-income schools with a warm and welcoming school or community library, to support childhood literacy by making book donations directly to students, and to facilitate events around the love of reading.

Vision

Access Books' vision is to make sure that all children living in Los Angeles, regardless of what zip code they live in, have access to plentiful, quality reading material.

Goals

1.To fully stock 20 inner city school libraries each year
2.To match affluent school communities with high need school communities around the love of reading
3.To provide children living in poverty who have no books in the home with their own books to start their own home libraries
