Mission

The American Pregnancy Association is a national health organization committed to ongoing reproductive research and education, promoting community awareness and providing fact-based information for women and families with pregnancy related needs. Our goal is to empower women and families, within their own communities, through education and counseling, by offering healthy reproductive options and promoting and supporting healthy pregnancies with positive outcomes.

Vision

We envision a world in which all women have access to accurate and reliable information as well as a safe and non-judgmental space to discuss their options for pregnancy. We envision a future where all individuals facing pregnancy-related decisions are equipped with the care and support they need to make confident decisions for themselves and their families.

Goals

1.Provide timely, evidence-informed pregnancy education, emotional support, and referrals through APA’s phone helpline, online chat, website resources, and pregnancy education programs.
2.Help individuals make informed decisions by providing understandable, compassionate education and connecting them with appropriate local and national resources, including prenatal care, community programs, pregnancy support services, lactation support, mental health resources, and material assistance when available.
3.Build a sustainable, high-quality support system by investing in staff training, updated educational content, technology, partnerships, data collection, and program evaluation. APA will maintain current and accurate pregnancy-related resources, train staff and volunteers on compassionate client support and referral practices, and develop partnerships that expand the support available to clients.
