Sierra House

Mission

Sierra House Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the prospects of individual achievement for youth, low to moderate income families, and homeless young adults through housing, education, and community services, and thereby contributing to the long-term stability of our community. Our programs provide enriching life experiences that encourage and challenge youth to excel in their development, support neighborhood stabilization and encourage homeownership.

Sierra House would like to end the repeated cycle of homelessness, and continue providing affordable housing for the community.

Goals

1.Expand the services of Sierra House by partnering with local governments, builders and non profits focused on ending homelessness and affordable housing development
2.Conduct surveys, focus groups, and outreach efforts to identify shifting needs within the community. Engage local leaders and stakeholders in program development to ensure responsiveness. Expand access to counseling trauma informed care and peer support groups. Provide specialized services for youth aging out of foster care and individuals facing housing insecurity,
