Mission

Shield Bearer removes the barriers to receiving licensed mental health services and promotes individual growth and development, preserves and enriches marriages and strengthens and unites families with licensed mental health services and educational community services. Families and individuals in the grip of (a failing marriage; depression; anxiety; financial disaster; broken relationships; tragic circumstances; trauma) are losing control, paralyzed by fear. Shield Bearer gives them affordable solutions to break free, find hope, and rebuild their lives.

1.Expand its counseling program by opening new counseling centers in underserved communities and through partnerships with local churches and community organizations to a broader population.
2.Comprehensive sustainability plan that includes diversifying funding sources, such as grants, donations, and partnerships. Achieve financial stability.
3.Expand our influence by creating a statewide outreach program. Development of online resources, webinars, and collaborations, with the aim of services beyond Greater Houston.
