The Crutcher Foundation

Mission

The Crutcher Foundation is committed to enhancing the mental health of first responders by offering direct support, funding, and advocacy. We exist to ensure no firefighter, police officer, or paramedic has to face the weight of trauma alone.

Vision

We envision a future where every first responder has access to the resources, community, and care they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives—both on the job and at home. By reducing stigma, raising awareness, and funding mental health initiatives, we aim to create a culture where seeking help is as natural as serving others.

Goals

1.Expand access to mental health support for first responders by scaling partnerships with cities, unions, and nonprofits. Grow programs like Crutcher Cafés and community events to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and directly connect first responders and their families to care.
2.Strengthen organizational capacity by building sustainable funding streams, expanding community partnerships, and investing in systems that allow us to direct 100% of donations toward first responder mental health programs.
3.Advance advocacy and education efforts that promote awareness of PTSD and mental health challenges in first responders. Host training, seminars, and events that equip departments and families with tools to support resilience, prevention, and long-term wellness.
