Golden Retrievers in Need Rescue Service Inc.

Mission

GRIN's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes in need. We are committed to helping dogs that come to our organization whether it is via shelters, puppy mills, breeder relinquishments, strays or owner surrenders. Our rescue efforts focus on helping local dogs, but also international dogs when possible. We are a fully volunteer run organization that is dedicated to saving as many dogs as we can; where every dollar raised goes to ensuring our rescues have the medical care and training necessary to ultimately result in a successful adoption. We are a passionate group of dog lovers that strive to educate the community on responsible dog ownership & dog advocacy.

Vision

The goal is to achieve a balance in the dog population so that rescues and shelters are not overcrowded, breeding practices are ethical, and owners follow principles of responsible dog ownership.

Goals

1.We are currently in the midst of an IT transformation, bringing our software, databases and website up to current standards.
2.We are currently evaluating policies that better support dog ownership in our geographic area.
3.Our goal continues to be to educate the general public on the importance of responsible dog ownership. Specific areas include health and management.
