Montana Raptor Conservation Center

Mission

OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF RAPTORS ACROSS MONTANA THROUGH REHABILITATION OF INJURED BIRDS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, AND PARTNERSHIPS FOR RAPTOR CONSERVATION AND RESEARCH.

Vision

We envision a future where raptors thrive in Montana and beyond, supported by a community that values their ecological role and actively contributes to their conservation.

Goals

1.Raptors are vital to healthy ecosystems. As top predators, they control pests and signal environmental change. By educating 12,000 people of all ages, we grow awareness, inspire conservation, and build a community that values wildlife. Understanding raptors means protecting them—and in turn, protecting the balance of nature for future generations.
2.We're weaving the dangers of lead ammunition into all programs and events to raise awareness of its deadly impact on raptors. By educating our community, we empower people to choose safer alternatives and help protect birds of prey from preventable poisoning.
3.We’re upgrading our on-site surgical suite to provide advanced care for injured raptors. With enhanced tools and facilities, we can perform critical surgeries on-site, reduce stress on patients, and give more birds a second chance at life in the wild.
