Amani Foundation

Mission

The Amani Foundation is a US-based 501(c)3 charity that runs the Amani Children's Home in Baraka Village, Tanzania. Together, we provide full-time residential care to fifty children in our guardianship, as well as outreach programs to their families and community members. Our mission is to support at-risk children and youth by providing uninterrupted access to quality education, psychosocial healing from early childhood trauma, and sustainable food security for healthy growth and development. Since 2012, our Tanzanian team and site have provided a safe harbor for vulnerable children in our community, and since 2015, the Amani Foundation has partnered in this mission by providing funding development, administrative support, and capacity building.

Vision

To build a self-sustainable Amani that provides consistently not only for its own staff and wards but also uplifts the surrounding community and ecosystems.

Goals

1.Establish stable funding for community programs and long-term residential care, with educational support, feeding programs, and extracurricular activities.
2.Form partnerships for integrating trauma-informed methods into Amani's programs, supporting holistic well-being of children and families.
3.Boost awareness via strategic social media, events, synced content calendars, analytics, and 2024 stakeholder meetings for engagement.
