Mission

The Kurt Thomas Foundation seeks to expand our youths’ potential and assist them in their mission to make a positive difference. The Foundation raises funds to provide a minimum of one training scholarship per year to a deserving young gymnast who exhibits the qualities that Kurt Thomas himself embodied. Additionally, the Foundation will further Kurt’s passion for increasing awareness and interest in the sport of gymnastics, and in all sports, by honoring individuals who have made a significant impact on sports and who reflect Kurt’s work ethic and dedication. This Kurt Thomas Flair Award will be presented annually to such an individual. The Foundation also raises funds toward creating initiatives to provide access to sports for the underserved and special needs children; two areas that Kurt strived to positively impact.
