9th and 10th Horse Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers Museum

    Mission

The mission of the 9th and 10th Horse Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers Museum is to educate, preserve, and present the history and outstanding contributions of Americas’ Buffalo Soldiers from 1866—1944 and this includes WWI and WWII . The mission is achieved through educational programs, historic research, youth outreach programs and exhibits. The museum creates and disseminates knowledge about the history of the Buffalo Soldiers and their service and contributions. We envision that the museum…. will be a place where American history and culture exchange is a link to a better community, and will serve as an educational support to the school system in the education of US History and inspiration to youth, and will be a community partner in celebration and military appreciation on Veterans’ Day and Memorial Day to honor all service members who have served this country, and will institute and maintain a sense pride.
