Goals

1. 1.The NEST Project plans to develop a Safety & Independence Program in response to increasing requests from families of children with disabilities. The program will provide support for safety fencing, door/window alarms, adaptive safety equipment, and other resources that help prevent wandering and improve safety at home and in the community.
2. 2.The NEST Project will expand access to existing programs by increasing the availability of adaptive equipment, sensory supports, communication resources, and family assistance services. Funding will help serve more families, reduce wait times, strengthen community partnerships, and improve access to essential disability-related resources throughout our service area.
3. 3.The NEST Project will strengthen its advocacy efforts by elevating the voices of children with disabilities and their families. We will work to increase awareness, promote inclusive policies, engage community stakeholders, and advocate for improved access to educational, safety, healthcare, and support services throughout our region.
