Mission

The South High Foundation enhances the educational experience for students at Minneapolis South High School through academic, artistic, athletic, and extracurricular programming, supports the South Minneapolis community, and provides scholarships to graduates pursuing higher education.

Goals

1.Since 2020, a decision by Minneapolis Public Schools to redistrict in South Minneapolis has changed South High School's student demographics dramatically. It is now 82% students of color, 30% new English learners. Enrollment is down by about 25%, impacting federal funding. We must adapt our work to meet the greatest need and support students who are at risk of being left behind.
2.Provide access to quality programs that inspire students and guide them toward the right post-gradation decisions by expanding the funding available for program scholarships, participation in events, projects, and trips to ensure inclusivity and equity for all students.
