Vision

Here at Good Samaritan we believe everyone has good inside of them. From youth planning their future to parents who have just lost custody of their child - they all have good just waiting to be activated. Alongside our supportive community, we Activate the Good within our youth and families through our programming, advocacy, and strategic partnerships.

Goals

1. 1.Good Samaritan is an organization that is 65 years old. While we have a beautiful legacy of life-change, some of our processes are outdated. We have committed to investing in strategic, capacity-building goals by expanding our executive leadership team and migrating to platforms that better meet our organization's needs.
2. 2.Good Samaritan has helped youth in foster care heal from trauma since 1959 and helped youth aging out of foster care be prepared for their future since 1999. In 2024, Good Samaritan launched our first program to support youth after they age out foster care from 21-23 years old based on the needs directly communicated from current and former foster youth, program staff, and community stakeholders.
3. 3.Good Samaritan is committed to providing services that meet the needs of the community and fit within our area of expertise. We do not have a desire to be the biggest organization, but rather a desire to provide the highest quality of services to our target population(s). For this reason, we do not pursue programs outside of that scope.
