Foster Kinship

Mission

Foster Kinship strengthens kinship caregivers' capacity to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children who can not live with their parents. By supporting the family, we reduce the trauma of parental separation and prevent children from entering the traditional foster care system with strangers.

Vision

We envision a future where all children in kinship care thrive.

Goals

1.Ensure children in kinship care are raised in safe and nurturing homes, with the tools to break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, and trauma.
2.Ensure children raised in kinship care are in legally and financially stable homes, in order to reduce the risk of disruption into the foster care system.
3.To ensure children in kinship care receive equitable resources compared to other forms of foster care.
