Dove Creek Equine Rescue & Sanctuary

Mission

Our mission is to restore the dignity, purpose, and wholeness of unwanted horses who need a second chance in life — and humans seeking healing and direction. Through compassionate care, connection, and education, Dove Creek Equine Rescue brings restoration to both horse and human.

Vision

Our vision is to heal the heart of humanity through authentic partnerships between horses and people.

Goals

1.• Continue high-quality standards for rehabilitation, retraining, management of well-being, and rehoming. • Increased attention to elder horse maintenance and feed program • Purchase 2 saddles • Start on an Outdoor Obstacle course, can do in phases • Create a Standard Operating Procedure for the feeding program
2.Multi-channel appreciation. Consistent, heartfelt acknowledgment of volunteer impact. Diversify roles beyond barn work: ranch field trips, community outreach events, senior facility visits. NEW: Wednesday Grooming Connection Sessions; A weekly (Wednesday) hands-on opportunity for those who want to connect with horses outside of our traditional volunteer program.
3.• Continue to develop curricula for core programs • Ensure adequate staffing and resources for program delivery • Offer training for horse handlers
