The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Rescue: The Refuge is a sanctuary for rescued chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, and cows who come from lives of abuse, neglect and abandonment. These animals are provided with peace and protection on 45 acres of pasture and woods where they are provided with top notch, life-long care. As the Refuge grows we will expand to provide homes for rescued pigs.
Goal Two: Education: Animals living on farms suffer from intense confinement, physical mutilations and denial of their most basic natural desires. The Refuge is working to educate the general public about these cruel practices through providing innovative literature, guided sanctuary tours, and other creative educational experiences.
Goal Three: Vegan Outreach: The Refuge strives to inspire cruelty-free living by offering a non-judgmental community of compassionate advocates who work to answer questions and offer solutions for people interested in moving towards a vegan lifestyle. Through cooking classes, bake sales, food samplings, and other food-based events, we work to provide the tools people need to make compassionate choices.
