A community in which we live by the universal values of honor, gratitude, and patriotism upheld by America’s Nisei soldiers.

Goals

1. 1.Critical to an organization’s effectiveness is the decision-making process. A strong board and governance structure will facilitate vital program, staffing, and funding issues. The NVL shall reach out to the broader community and seek key individuals willing to serve as directors and advisors.
2. 2.Focus on membership development to fulfill programs/ projects such as traveling exhibits, website content research and development, special events, historical documentation, fundraising, and marketing. Grow relationships with other organizations with similar goals and objectives, we will be able to leverage our resources, support each other’s programs, and establish long-term relationships.
3. 3.The NVL shall provide education programs by expanding use of social media to become more accessible to younger generations of constituents. The NVL currently has an existing website and will capitalize on social media, i.e. Instagram to provide additional current information on the exploits of the Nisei veterans and the challenges they overcame during and after WWII.
