Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization

Mission

PLATO nurtures young peoples curiosity, critical thinking, and desire to explore big questions, through philosophy and ethics programs for students, educators, and families.

Vision

PLATO envisions a future in which all young people trust their own questions and recognize the value

Goals

1.We are working to increase access to our philosophy programs for educators, families, and students by developing new online classes and workshops.
2.We aim to expand our philosophers-in-residence programs to high schools in three different cities over the next two years, as a precursor to a broader national expansion.
3.Our goal is to increase our growing and diverse sources of revenue by further developing our donor base, seeking new sources of grant funding, and expanding our programs that yield earned income.
