Mission
Destiny for Dogs, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Florida Dog Rescue Organization. We are dedicated to assisting senior citizens in keeping their beloved dogs in their homes. Destiny assists “qualified” seniors with dog food, monthly heartworm/flea preventative, annual wellness visit to our veterinarian. We also provide short term foster care or boarding in the event of medical emergency situations and If necessary, the rehoming of their fur-baby.
Final planning to ensure the pet is cared for in the event the owner is no longer able.
When it is time, we assist and make arrangements for euthanasia and cremation to provide the “last act of kindness” for their beloved fur family member.
We at Destiny for Dogs understand that many seniors face the possibility of losing their beloved pets due to a variety of circumstances. We never want a senior to make a choice between food, medical care, medicine, monthly prescriptions for them or their beloved companion.
Destiny for Dogs is a non-breed specific, small, foster-based rescue. We are all volunteers, and have no paid members or employees.
We are also active in rescuing dogs from shelters, unethical breeders, owners, or families whose loved one can no longer care for their pet. Plus assist if a family is not able to keep their deceased loved ones’ dog. Our goal is to find loving forever homes for rescue dogs regardless of age, health, or corrective behavioral issues. Destiny's dogs are fully vetted, sterilized, up to date on shots, wellness exam, microchipped, and if needed a dental prior to being placed in a foster home. Once in foster, will be evaluated in a family loop on environment, loved and nurtured to prepare them for a second chance at the Happily Ever After” life that they and their new family so deserve.
