Neema Village Tanzania Inc.

Mission

• Rescuing abandoned, orphaned, and at-risk babies • Reuniting children with extended families and promoting in-country adoptions • Restoring hope to women through education, business opportunities, parenting skills, and spiritual guidance • Reducing maternal deaths through Save The Mothers program • Revitalizing community through water wells & programs for the youth

Vision

Continuing to identify programs to improve the physical and spiritual health and care of children, women, & families in the region around Arusha, Tanzania.

Goals

1.Expand the business training program for mothers to include teenage boys and men. In the next 5 years build and implement a trade school for teenage boys, & men.
2.Due to increased need and waitlist, build a larger Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities. Increase knowledge of rehabilitative center staff by continued training with Physical Therapists. Continue to evaluate graduates of the Rehab Center in their home environment to assess further needs.
3.Renovate existing structure formerly used for the Rehab Center into a Medical Office for Neema Village children, MAP mothers & their children, and staff. The 2-room office currently used is inadequate for our 2 Doctors and 1 nurse to care for our 82 children, 108 staff, and 17 MAP mothers with 1-2 children each. This will include 2 NICU's, 2 isolation rooms, a large laboratory, and an x-ray room.
