Mission

We rescue stray dogs in Puerto Rico, called satos, as well as stray cats (or gatos). Our small operation team and volunteers in New York City work closely with El Faro de los Animales, a no-kill shelter in Humacao, PR. Our mission is to better the quality of life for abandoned satos and gatos by transporting them to New York City and beyond, finding them temporary homes within our foster network, making sure they are healthy and adjusted, and ultimately placing them into their perfect furever home. We have saved thousands of animals over the past decade and appreciate the financial and volunteer support from anyone who can help us further our mission.
