Vision

Philosophy Statement To us it is important for a child to have experiences by him/herself, with other children, and with adults in a safe, positive, accepting atmosphere. It is our number one goal to provide an environment and the kind of influences that encourage all children to become creative, independent, responsible, self-directed people who can make decisions for themselves. Secondly, as adults we will strive to continue learning and growing in our relationships with others so that we may nurture a peaceful environment and surround the children with understanding, warmth, and giving.

Goals

1. 1.First Years Children’s Center is deepening its advocacy work to champion equitable access to early childhood education. We aim to influence policy, elevate family and educator voices, and strengthen community awareness. By investing in outreach, partnerships, and staff training, we’re working to create lasting, systemic change that supports all children and strengthens our mission.
2. 2.First Years Children’s Center is committed to expanding access to our high-quality early childhood programs. This goal focuses on growing our capacity to serve more families, reducing barriers to enrollment, and ensuring that all children—regardless of background—can benefit from the care, learning, and support we provide every day.
3. 3.In response to evolving family needs, First Years Children’s Center is developing new programs that address emerging challenges and opportunities. By listening to our community and observing trends, we aim to offer responsive, relevant services that support children’s growth and family wellbeing in meaningful, impactful ways.
