Vision

Connect With A Wish will positively transform the lives of those we serve by delivering initiatives and forging collaborations with local organizations so that every foster child in the Hampton Roads community, both present and former, discovers their full potential.

Goals

1. 1.Strengthen current portfolio of independent living skills training programs by enhancing and expanding foster youth participation in the Connect to Careers (C2C) program. Establish memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with other Hampton Roads city governments. These goals will provide tools for those aging out of the foster care system to obtain sufficient income to support themselves financially.
2. 2.Ensure aging out youth secure needed housing with sustained wrap-around services. These strategic goals will address the immediate critical need for safe, affordable housing for those aging out of foster care. They will also ensure that wrap-around services and life skills training are supplied so that this population is equipped to support themselves and avoid future homelessness.
3. 3.By increasing annual funding, predictable monthly revenue, and funding via grants and/or corporate partnerships, CWW will be better positioned to face new community challenges in the next five years while ensuring its current programs and initiatives are maintained.
