Charlie Cart Project

Mission

Our mission is to make hands-on food education accessible everywhere children gather to learn so that kids have the knowledge and confidence to make healthy food choices for life.

Vision

The Charlie Cart Project envisions a world where all kids have access to nourishing food, know how to prepare it, and understand the connections between their food, their health, and the planet.

Goals

1.In partnership with The Vitamix Foundation and the White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities, Charlie Cart is committed to reaching 1 million children by 2030 with hands-on food education.
2.We are conducting impact evaluations and surveys across our 600 sites to measure the impact our 2,000 educators are making on students and participants. The results will be used to refine our current programs and develop new ones to support educator success, ultimately enhancing health outcomes for communities. The evaluation will produce the evidence base needed to bring food education to scale.
3.Charlie Cart is elevating the vital role of food education in the national conversations on health. Through public awareness campaigns that engage diverse stakeholders, case studies, and our Podcast, Charlie Cart Talks Food Education, we are advocating for health and nutritional access for all children and their families.
