Vision

Latet (To Give, in Hebrew) was established in order to reduce poverty, for a better and just society, by providing assistance to needy populations, mobilizing Israeli civil society towards mutual responsibility, and leading change in the national priorities.

Goals

1. 1.Latet acts as an umbrella organization for 210 local associations in over 115 municipalities across the country, Latet operates the leading national food bank and runs impactful aid programs, providing monthly assistance to thousands of families and Holocaust survivors.
2. 2.The Purpose of American Friends of Latet is to support the mission and activities of Latet Israeli Humanitarian Aid in Israel. American Friends of Latet will operate in lieu of the values of Latet Israeli Humanitarian Aid: human dignity, integrity, good governance, transparency, equality, social responsibility, and professionalism.
3. 3.As needs come from the ground, we are helping on an ad-hoc basis for needy populations: distributing winter packages for the elderly, distributing school supplies before the school year, etc.
