Golden Opportunities for Independence

Mission

Improve quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing highly trained service dogs. Enhance community mental health and wellbeing with therapy dogs in schools, police departments and municipalities.

Vision

Our mission has extended beyond service dogs to providing mental health/wellness support by training therapy dogs to assist students, first responders and those struggling with substance use disorder and addiction. Our dogs are working in Guidance departments at schools, with Community Resource Officers in cities and towns, at colleges and in Substance Abuse Disorder recovery homes. Through these efforts, we aim to create inclusive, supportive and empowered communities where individuals, irrespective of their challenges, can live more fulfilling and independent lives.

Goals

1.Help 22Mohawks Foundation (EIN 86-3181833) train dogs for their Pups for Vets & First Responders program. Our expertise helps them expand their community outreach.
2.Requests for our dogs currently outpaces our supply. We have demonstrable success and an established breeding/training program in place that we want to scale to meet growing demand.
3.To support our proven success model and increasing demand, we need to expand our breeding and training facility.
