For the past 10 years, Empowering Opportunities (EO) has been helping support the educational costs of orphans and rural low-income students in Nepal without the means to complete their education. Education is essential for them to obtain good jobs and earn living wages, especially for the girls.

To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
