Home Makers of Hope Inc.

Mission

Home Makers of Hope (HMOH) provides essential furnishings and household items to families and individuals struggling with poverty. Furnishing a home is expensive for anyone, but especially for those suffering hardships or returning from homelessness. After paying for basic needs such as food, rent and utilities, there is usually little left to buy beds or furniture. We make a home by providing linens and beds to sleep on, fully equipping their kitchens where families can have meals together and decorating living areas to encourage family time.

Vision

A fully-furnished home for every low-income family and family in crisis – in Hillsborough County and beyond – where can they experience stability, dignity and hope for a brighter future.

Goals

1.Create a collaborative network of agencies, churches, businesses, and community organizations to increase the number of volunteers and donations and expand the reach and impact of our home furnishing program.
2.Implement advanced digital systems for financial management, data collection, and operational efficiency to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and better measure our impact.
3.Adapt our existing program and develop new programs, based on the observed changes in the community and needs of our clients, to ensure Home Makers of Hope is responsive and effective in serving families.
