Vision

A future where every independent film festival — regardless of size, geography, or budget — has the infrastructure, community, and standing to thrive.

Goals

1. 1.Position FFA and its members as a credible, unified voice in funding, policy, and cultural conversations that shape the field's future — ensuring independent festivals are represented and heard in rooms they're too often left out of.
2. 2.Create durable spaces — forums, mentorship, peer networks — where festival workers can learn from and lean on each other year-round, not just at conferences, so isolation and reinvented wheels give way to shared expertise and lasting professional relationships.
3. 3.Right-size FFA's team and board structure to match its growing scope of work, with clear roles, sustainable workloads, and succession planning, so the organization's effectiveness doesn't depend on any one person's bandwidth or institutional memory.
